Problems encountered in secondary school

   In secondary school , i have encountered some major problems. This leads to sleep depravation and therefore , i cannot concentrate in lessons the very next day. The problem is , I have third language classes  and  floorball training that i sometimes do not have time to do my homework or to do revision. Sometimes , i am just too tired to do my homework. With much homework piling up and lesser time to do , it gets really really stressful. Sometimes , I procrastinate and leave the work or revision for the next day.

   My solution is , when i get home from my floorball training or third language class , i take a shower and take a power nap. After that , i do all my homework and revision . I also have to sleep at a later time to compensate with my power nap. I will have to motivate myself if i am lazy to do my homework so that i will not procrastinate and my work and revision will not pile up. This will prevent last minute revision when it comes nearer to exams. I will also have a steady revision. On weekends i will do my homework and relax for awhile and continue my school revision. 

   All this is done because in secondary two , there is streaming and i would want the subject combination that i want. This is done also for me education career. I will do all this so that i can ace my exams!

A fun day out with cousins and friends!

   During the weekends , Saturday, i went to a floorball shop in Kallang called Valhall with my friends , Mateen , Nicholas and Enrico. Nicholas , Enrico and I wanted to get a new stick but Enrico wanted to go to other shops. Mateen wanted to get a stickbag. Well , i wanted to get a stick which was the same brand as my current stick , which is Exel. To my dissapointment , the person said that they had some problems with the shipping of Exel sticks. So i continued to look at other sticks. My friend , Nicholas , liked the Zone Masterpiece air , so he bought it. For me , I'll just wait for the shipment. Mateen bought a stickbag. In the end , I did not even change the grip of my stick. After that , all of us went to eat at Burger King. 

   After that, we took the train to Bishan and took a bus to opposite RI. We wanted to go to the Fatpipe warehouse. We got lost. We used google maps which were not really that accurate. We tried to hail a taxi. After 20 long minutes of frustration , we finally got a taxi. We told the driver the address and we went there. The place there was so much cooler! There Enrico bought a stick and Mateen bought stick blade. I just bought the floorball ball. After that , we went home together.

    I went home and rest. At about 10 o'clock , my siblings and I went to E!Hub to meet my cousins and to watch a movie. We were very grateful and happy as one of our cousins were treating us and had already booked the tickets. We were going to watch a movie called , 'The Green Hornet'. We occupied the whole row of seats. I guess we really enjoyed the movie. The movie is top in US. The movie ended at about 1+ and we reached home late. But it was worth it as it was a wonderful and funny movie!

   

 

Call of Duty : Black Ops

   During the weekends , i will always spend my time alone doing something i enjoy. For me , the special 'something' is playing Call of Duty : Black Ops. There are two parts of this game. They are campaign or multiplayer. In multiplayer mode , there are zombies or normal player mode. My game console is PS3. I manage to finish the campaign or story mode of the game. I have to say that this game has an interesting storyline. It is about this soldier , which his mind is brainwashed by his enemies. Well , you have to play the game to find out.

   In multiplayer game mode , i like to play team deathmatch. In here , i play with different people from all over the world. They are divided into two teams and the team who reaches the highest number of points first or has the higher points when the time is up wins. I also play domination. In domination , you are suppose to capture enemy areas and defend your own. The team who dominates for the longest time , and therefore , reaching the maximum points , wins.

   I like to play with my headphones on so i do not disturb my family members as i always play till late at night. I usually play this game for hours. When i get a kill , i feel very powerful. I also play this game with my neighbours or sometimes , my other friends. Sometimes when i get killed ,  i always curse the other player in my heart. I also watch out for the health of my eye and stop and take an eye-break every hour. This is , and always has been a moment spent alone doing something i enjoy.

Sentosa

   During the december holidays , my whole family had an exciting day. First , we took breakfast at Burger King. After that , we took a monorail to Sentosa. When we are about to reach the first stop and alight , my sister and i started squealing as we could not contain our excitement. We got out and walked to the Luge and Skyride ticket counter. We bought tickets for the whole family. First we went up the skyride. The maximum people to seat on one chair is 3 so we had to split up. On the skyride , we had a perfect beautiful view of the whole island. On top of that , the weather was good too! After the breathtaking view , we went on the luge. This time , we each own a luge. We raced down the hill with the different manoeuvres. The ride was epic! All of us had lots of fun! This is a video of the luge and skyride.

   Then , we went to the MegaZip adventure. Well , for this particular ride , my mother did not take it as she was afraid of heights. We had to climb stairs after stairs just to get to the top. At the top , we had a bird-eye-view of that current area. We had mixed feelings as it was scary as well as exciting. We were like at a tower and we had 'zip' down to another island. The people in charge put on our safety harnesses. Well , being the bravest of us , my dad went first. We saw him went down the MegaZip and got smaller and smaller. He finally reached the other island. Well , 3 people can go at once. So my siblings and I went together. At first I hesitated. As I know the longer i waited , the more hesitant i will become. So to overcome my fear , I just jumped. It was awesome! The wind blowing at my face and the fast speed. After that , all of us went to the main island. This is a video of how the megazip looks like.

   After that , we went on the tour of the island. I wanted to go to the Underwater World but there was no time. So , my mom promised me that she would take me there again. As we were walking , we saw a poster that Universal Studious was soon opening. My sister and I cursed our luck but we remembered that our mother promised that she would take us there again. As the night turned dark , we had to go home. I turned around and said goodbye to Sentosa. Well , all days have to end. So we headed home and we had a fun day!

Home Economics : Baking

    Today , for Home Economics lesson , everyone in the class had to make Queen Cupcakes. The ingredients needed were self-raising flour , butter , sugar , eggs , vanilla essence and raisins. My first impression of the lesson was it was going to be quite tedious as we needed to heat the things in the oven. Luckily , i was wrong. Instead , the lesson was very enjoyable as we could experience using the mixer , mixing everything together with a mixer. Of course , all good things has to be shared so my partner , Faizur , took turns to use the mixer.

    First , we sift the flour into a mixing bowl to obtain the flour. Then we mixed the butter and sugar together. After that. We added the egg which are mixed with the vanillla essence. We add a small amount of the mixture to the butter and sugar mixture each time to ensure that it does not turn out too watery. Next , we added the flour little by little. To our horror , after comparing our product at this stage with others , we found that we had an unusually small amount of flour. We thought that we have done it wrongly.This time the mixer was not needed. We used the spoon and stirred the mixture in the shape of an inverted letter 'C'. We then added the raisins. We added a little less raisins to our mixture as both my partner and i dislike raisins. We then divided the total mixture to 6 cups. We shared an oven with one other pair. We put the cups onto the tray and put it in the oven.

    After 20 long minutes of containing our excitement , our Queen Cake were ready. Our stomach were already grumbling. But of course , we had to show Miss Hashima for the grading of our Queen Cake. We were jubilant after we were given full marks! We thought we had gone wrong somewhere in the middle. But of course , we had to wash up all of our equipment. Miss Hashima is very particular about cleanliness. Well , all good things come with a price. We had to stayback to ensure that the kitchen was super clean. I packed my things and put my Queen Cakes in my container.

   The Queen Cakes that my partner and i made were really delicious. I Enjoyed the Home Economics lesson!
